Bethel to auction properties for taxes

BETHEL --The town will hold an auction of nine properties to satisfy delinquent taxes and other charges at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Hurgin Municipal Center, School Street.

Bidders must present $5,000 per property in cash or certified check payable to "Pullman & Comley, Trustee" on the day of the sale, and the winning bidder must pay the balance of the sale price within five days or forfeit that deposit.

The purchaser will take title "free and clear" six months after the auction except for any other taxes and charges due.

The properties are: 1 Golden Hill St.; 235 Greenwood Ave.; 6 Farmview Drive; 4 Bailey Blvd.; 0.56 acre on Milwaukee Avenue; 22 Prospect St.; 27 Turkey Plain Road; 31 Maple Ave. Extension; and 7 Payne Road.
