Dove Awards to announce nominees for annual show

ATLANTA (AP) — The Dove Awards will announce the nominees on Wednesday for its 43rd annual show, which highlights gospel and Christian music.

Grammy-nominated singer Montell Jordan, radio host CoCo Brother, comedian Chondra Pierce and wrestler A.J. Styles will help announce each of the 43 categories for the upcoming awards show that will be taped on April 19.

The event returns for the second straight year to Atlanta after previously being held in Nashville, Tenn., for more than four decades. Last year, the show sold-out at the Fox Theatre in the city's midtown area and had more than 1.5 million viewers of the ceremony, which aired on GMC, formerly known as the Gospel Music Channel.
