The old Town Hall does not need to be torn down to get parking places. It need's to be sold, so put it on the market.

The town has been given an offer for $400.000 for the building, as is. This offer should be taken to get the tax money for years to come, as Phil Gallagher said. We could use $12,000 a year in taxes and, with improvement, over $12,000.

When they built that library it was another rush job, and it is too large for our small town setting. Now that hotel is up and causing problems for us because of its size.

Mr. Knickerbocker is blowing smoke at us again. He pushed the bike shop rental with the same line. He keeps saying we need space for parking for the merchants. This man is like our representatives trying to get something they want by saying it will make things better in other areas.

If the library is going to use the space, how does it improve the parking for business? He could be a good snake oil salesman when he gets out of office.

Here is how we solve the parking problem. Take 12 feet off the Municipal Center's front lawn, from the adjoining property to Grant Street. Leave the sidewalks and put in a driveway. That alone would take care of the library parking and the old Town Hall parking.

Losing 12 foot of lawn will not interfere in any projects on the lawn. In fact it, will give people a better chance to watch from their cars. Now you let people park across from the center and you have parking on the street we had before putting in the parking lot.

Another trigger word being used is hazardous material. "As is" means that we do nothing to the building. We have at lease $400.000 for selling and $12,000 a year in taxes. Do not tear this building down.
